Alpaca fleece saddle pads
Top: 100% cotton
Filling: 100% cotton fleece
Under side: 100% alpaca fleece
Alpaca wool is naturally antibacterial and does not need frequent washing. Depending on the intensity of use, you will notice when the wool feels clammy and is no longer fluffy. This can be once a month or once a quarter depending on how much the horse sweats and how often the pad is used.
In the first wash, the saddle pad should only be washed at 20 degrees on a wool cycle. This prevents the cotton from shrinking (it is made of pure cotton on the outside and in the filling). Please only use wool detergent. With each additional wash, it can be washed at 30 degrees without any problems. Please fold it into the machine with the fine wool fleece on the inside, so that the fleece does not rub when the washing machine is turning.
After the machine, the alpaca fleece saddle pad will dry shortly because the structure of the fibers is so fine and light. To do this, pull the pad into shape and lay it open to dry, or hang it up to dry with the spinal canal in the middle. Ideally, do not expose to the blazing sun. When fully dry, the fleece can be fluffed up a bit by hand.
The fine alpaca fleece underside can be brushed with a medium-hard horse brush, for example if a lot of winter fur has collected in it. However, a comb or brush with a hook should never be used, as this could destroy the woven structure of the fleece. Ideally fluff up or beat out the fleece with your fingers.
Alpacavlies Shabracken
Top: 100% cotton
Filling: 100% cotton fleece
Under side: alpaca fleece and cotton molleton
The alpaca fleece saddle pads should only be washed at 20 degrees on a wool cycle for the first wash. This prevents the cotton from shrinking on the top and inside. For all other washes, you can easily wash at 30 degrees on the wool cycle with the appropriate wool detergent.
If the horse has sweated a lot or is generally very dirty, it is advisable to pretreat the cotton molleton with gall soap. Cotton is very robust and can be cleaned properly with a sponge and some gall soap before the saddle pad goes into the machine. If a lot of horse hair gets caught in the alpaca fleece, brush it out with a medium-hard, clean horse brush. Absolutely avoid brushes with raw bristles or hooks, as these can destroy the woven structure of the alpaca fleece.
The underside with alpaca fleece is naturally antibacterial. The area made of cotton molleton can be treated with an iron after washing and after the saddle pad has completely dried (without touching the alpaca wool). The steam and the heat destroy possible germs that may not be killed at 30 degrees in the wool wash cycle.
Immediately after washing, pull the wet alpaca fleece saddle pad into shape with your hands and then lay it out to dry or hang it up with the spinal canal in the middle. Ideally, do not expose to the blazing sun. The alpaca fleece will dry very quickly (unlike lambskin saddle pads) because there is no leather skin in between. When the saddle pad is dry, the alpaca fleece can be fluffed up again with your hands. Please do not brush through with a comb or brush as the hooks may get caught in the woven fleece.
Cotton saddle pad
Top: 100% cotton
Filling: 100% cotton fleece
Bottom: 100% cotton molleton
The cotton saddle pads and saddle pads with linen content can be washed in the washing machine at 30 degrees. Naturally, the cotton will then shrink a little. If you want to avoid this for optical reasons, you should only wash them at 20 degrees for the very first wash and then increase the temperature for subsequent washes.
If you have a horse with a particularly sensitive saddle position, it is advisable to iron the saddle pads, especially on the underside, after washing them when they are completely dry. The undyed cotton molleton on the underside can easily be ironed with steam.
Terry Blanket & Bridle Cloth
100% cotton (cotton terry cloth)
Both products are made of pure cotton terry cloth and can therefore be washed in the washing machine at 60 degrees and are also suitable for the dryer.
horse brushes
Wood: robinia wood (dark) or beech wood (light)
Fibres: depending on the model, 100% pure goat hair, horsehair or natural fibres.
No mixtures with synthetic fibers are used!
Yes! The same principle applies to all natural products: They are antibacterial and should only be washed when absolutely necessary. Then use a mild baby shampoo and dampen the horse or goat hair (if possible, do not put the entire brush under water). Massage in the shampoo and wash out the brush completely. After a short drying time it will be like new again.
For this purpose we use dark wood for the brushes, which is more resistant to moisture than light wood.
leather bags
Upper material: hydrophobic cowhide
Inner material: Cordura®
Fittings: metal rustproof
The natural and particularly water-repellent robust cowhide is designed to look a little 'vintage'. A nice patina will automatically develop after a while. Scratches on the surface can easily be polished away with a damp cotton towel. Don't worry: the spot will appear much darker at first. However, this dries within minutes and the surface looks like new.
Yes! It doesn't matter whether it's standing in the water at the washing area in the stable or the La Baquette bag comes into the rain - the bag dries quickly and without leaving any residue. If possible, the wet leather can be 'massaged' dry with a cotton cloth.
No, please don't! The leather is natural and treated with a special oil which gives it the beautiful finish. More oil would spoil the appearance and is also not necessary for care. If there is a stain, dirt on the surface or a scratch, you can carefully polish the affected area with a damp cotton cloth until it feels flat and smooth again. Then just let it dry for a few minutes and the bag will return to its original color and feel.
