L'Evoine saddle pads always feature generous wither clearance and an ergonomic back line. Because they are made from pure natural materials, they will shrink slightly after the first wash. We took this into account during production, so we've listed the actual measurements after the first wash here.

How to measure correctly:

Back line: Use a flexible tape measure to measure along the underside of the saddle from the front to the back edge of the padding and add 6 cm – this gives the minimum back length of the matching saddle pad.
Height A: The height from the bottom edge of the saddle pad to the highest point at the withers
Height B: The height from the bottom edge of the saddle pad to the lowest point along the back line

This highly functional dressage saddle pad combines natural alpaca wool with pure cotton: It relieves the horse's back through excellent pressure distribution, ensures optimal temperature regulation thanks to the airy hollow fibers, and is the perfect breathable saddle pad for horses with sensitive skin and clogged sebaceous glands.

Care instructions

Alpaca fleece products can be washed at 20-30 degrees Celsius on a wool cycle – do not use the spin cycle. After washing, pull the fleece into shape and let it air dry. The dry alpaca fleece can be freed of horsehair using a root brush. Alpaca fleece is naturally antibacterial and does not need to be washed frequently. Find more details here.

Absolutely love this alpaca fleece pad. Wither cut is perfect. My horse is very wide and it sits great...doesn't buckle behind the saddle like so many other pads on him. My saddle fits my horse perfectly so I don't want a bunch of bulk under as I like my saddle and I to sit close to him. This fleece is thin, but still beneficial, and you don't even notice it. Some fleece pads are too thick and put the rider so far away from the horse! I highly recommend this pad!
